INTERIOR OF THE YACHT

Ocean Free sleeps 10 very comfortably in 5 cabins.

The forecabin has two bunks but is used mainly for storage for sails, warps, bicycles etc. The main anchor chain stores under the bunk. To port there is a toilet under a folding seat and behind that a washer drier. To starboard, there is storage and a wash basin. A large sliding hatch opens onto the foredeck.

The crew quarters (we dont have crew, so maybe it should be the kids’ quarters) has a single berth and an expandable double berth above it. Opposite is seating and table, which can convert to a large double berth again. There is a TV and stereo.

The port cabin has twin over and under berths, large wardrobe and vanity unit.

Opposite that is a toilet compartment with heads, wash basin and walk in shower.

Coming further aft again is another twin cabin to starboard. This again has a twin over and under berths, wardrobe and a wash basin.

To port is the galley with a large serving hatch to the saloon. This galley has a gimbled electric induction hob and fan assisted electric oven assembly, double sink, double freezer & fridge.

On the port side, the saloon has seating for about 10 people round a beautiful teak table. To starboard there is a sofa and drinks locker with a Sony flatscreen TV behind. There is a new forward facing chart table with Raymarine instrumentation and room to layout full size Admiralty charts.

Ducking aft under the cockpit to starboard there is a passageway with toilet outbound. This has a heads, washbasin and small sit down bath. The passage leads into the master cabin with double berth, wardrobe, sofa and access out onto the rear deck.

The boat has heating / air condtioning throughout.

On deck the centre cockpit has seating for about 10 people. There is a central drop flap table for eating in the open. I could not decide on a bimini or sprayhood and ended up with both, so depending on conditions the cockpit can be protected with a dodger, bimini sun shade or even a compete allround zip up cover.

Access to the engineroom is down a ladder from under a cockpit seat. With full standing headroom there is good access to the main engine, genset, airconditioning plant, watermaker, workbench and main electrical systems. Everything in the engine room was replaced in 2006.
